EXPO IS BRINGING TOY COLLECTING, NERD CULTURE, AND COMIC CON FUN BACK TO
VENTURA, CALIFORNIA

ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ventura Toy and Comic Expo (VTCE), a
brand-new pop culture expo, has found a home in Ventura, California. The
full-day celebration of comic books, action figures, toy collecting, fandom memorabilia,
and more will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Sunday May 3rd,
2020. Voice acting royalty Jim Cummings, best known as the voice of Winnie the
Pooh, Darkwing Duck, and so many, many more has been announced as the show’s
first celebrity guest.
Taking over the lower level of the
stunning, beachside Crown Plaza Hotel, Ventura Toy and Comic Expo will
have no shortage of activities and family fun! Striving to be the fullest pop
culture event in Ventura, VTCE will boast a full panel room with all day
programming, a game room for tabletop enthusiasts and CCG card gamers to socialize
and play, a kid’s activity area, photo ops and social area, a full Artist’s
Alley, and a Vendor Hall with tons of shopping and celebrity guests. The day
will culminate with a Cosplay Contest, so attendees wear your best costumes!
Ventura Toy and Comic Expo is a joint
effort between James Gavsie of the smash-hit podcast Who Would Win Show and Loryn
Stone of Troublemakers Services, a group that owns and
manages a portfolio of conventions and expos across California. Stone has two
more single-day pop culture event in Ventura County, Simi Valley Toy and Comic Fest, and Megabit Game Expo, both at the Grand Vista Hotel. She is also
the co-owner of Toon-Con, a single day convention dedicated to cartoon and
animation fans in Pasadena, California and pop culture websites Toy Wizards and PopLurker.
