WARNING: AHOY Comic Magazines Previews EDGAR ALLAN POE’S SNIFTER OF TERROR
October 31, 2018) AHOY Comics ― the startup publisher that has been asking readers to “expect more” from its comic book magazine format ― is unleashing a unique and unnerving take on a literary icon with a new anthology title, EDGAR ALLAN POE’S SNIFTER OF TERROR. The series promises to mangle beloved tales and unearth brand new stories, in what can only be described as a cross between Drunk History and Tales from the Crypt, featuring contributions from all star writers and artists including Rick Geary, Fred Harper, Ryan Kelly, Stuart Moore, Rachel Pollack, Mark Russell, Peter Snejbjerg and covers by celebrated MAD Magazine artist Richard Williams. Each issue also features Hunt Emerson’s take on The Black Cat.
“Every month, Hunt Emerson explores the secret true story behind Poe’s classic tale,” said AHOY Comics Editor-in-Chief Tom Peyer. “Warning: Poe and the Black Cat is only for those who have the stomach to see how literature is made.”
