EDGAR ALLAN POE’S SNIFTER OF TERROR Season Two issue 1 From AHOY Comics

EDGAR ALLAN POE’S SNIFTER OF TERROR Season Two issue 1 From AHOY Comics

“Who has not, a hundred times, found himself committing a vile or silly action for no other reason than because he knows he should not?"As Edgar Allan Poe

(October 7, 2019) AHOY Comics’ EDGAR ALLAN POE’S SNIFTER OF TERROR is returning this October, just in time for Halloween and #HalloweenReads. The acclaimed, alcohol infused anthology can only be described as a cross between Drunk History and Tales from the Crypt, and features contributions from all star writers and artists including Mark Russell, Peter Snejbjerg, Paul Cornell, Alisa Kwitney, Dean Motter, Linda Medley, Rick Geary, Steve Yeowell, Hunt Emerson, Peter Snejbjerg, Mauricet, Greg Scott and covers by celebrated MAD Magazine artist Richard Williams. Each issue also features Hunt Emerson’s take on The Black Cat.

EDGAR ALLAN POE’S SNIFTER OF TERROR’s debut issue features the ultimate Poe mashup! In Dean Motter’s “The Tell-Tale Black Cask of Usher,” the drink-addled writer falls prey to his own horrific imagination. Hunt Emerson offers another slapstick “Poe and the Black Cat.” A selection of horrific prose and pictures rounds out the issue.

“Poe’s legacy is only getting weirder these days with Ahoy Comics and its comics magazine series Edgar Allan Poe’s Snifter of Terror, an admirably bizarre concoction that is equal parts Tales from the Crypt and Drunk History. The boozy author retells his tales of horror and mystery and things get (you guessed it) pretty weird.” — DEADLINE HOLLYWOOD

A zany look at horror through the weird interpretive lens of a drunk Edgar Allan Poe as your guide through classic tales of the macabre.” — io9

“What do you get when you mix Edgar Allan Poe, syphilis, breakfast cereal, and a barnacle? Sounds like a joke with a terrible punchline, but in this case, the result is splendid. Edgar Allan Poe’s Snifter of Terror #1 provides the world with all of that and so much more.” — FANBASE PRESS

Exploring hilariously dark tales of suspense, shock and horror, this is one ghoulishly excellent comic you won’t want to miss!” — IMPULSE GAMER

“A great, fun read.” — COMICON

“Fun and creepy in all the right ways.” — FANDOM POST

“Absolutely hysterical.” — READING WITH A FLIGHT RING
